Owen Sound, ON — [Month Day, 2025] – Penble Tiny Homes, a new design-build studio based in Grey-Bruce, has officially launched its flagship Cedar 26’ Premium Tiny Home. Designed to Ontario Building Code standards and built with locally sourced cedar, the Cedar model combines sustainable construction with affordability at a time when Ontario’s housing crisis is pushing families to seek alternatives.

Founder Wayne Peters, a longtime Grey-Bruce entrepreneur with a background in woodworking and social services, created Penble Tiny Homes to address the growing demand for downsizing, multi-generational living, and backyard rental income opportunities.

“Penble Tiny Homes was born from both personal experience and community need,” said Peters. “I wanted to create housing solutions that my own daughter’s generation could actually afford, while still delivering craftsmanship and comfort you’d expect in a full-sized home.”

The Cedar 26’ Premium model features:

Flexible layouts for families, downsizers, or backyard ADUs (Accessory Dwelling Units).

Looking ahead, Penble Tiny Homes plans to expand with additional models — including the Nomad 20’ starter home and the Willow 32’ luxury series — as well as full tiny home communities such as Cedar Nest Village.

Penble Tiny Homes operates from Shallow Lake, Ontario, with plans to scale production in partnership with local trades and suppliers.
